BB00452: Du’a’-i-Salavat-i-Hasan

Glory be to Thee, O my God! Thou art my Beloved in the kingdom of command and creation, and my Goal in all the manifestations of creation and command. I have worshipped none but Thee, desired none except Thee, prostrated before none save Thee, and will prostrate before none other than Thee.

I beseech Thee, O my God, by Thy Name through which Thou didst create Thy beloved one and Thy trusted one and the purified leaf from the tree of Thy beloved one, to send Thy blessings upon Hasan, son of Ali, Thy proof, as Thou didst send blessings upon Muhammad and Ali and Fatimah. For Thou hast distinguished him with that which Thou hast not distinguished anyone else in all the worlds, and preferred them with that which Thou hast not preferred anyone like them in all the worlds.

Therefore, O my God, send down, as befitteth the majesty of Thy holy might and the splendor of Thy glorious bounty, upon Thy Most Glorious Beauty, Thy Most Exalted Grandeur, Thy Most Beautiful Beauty, Thy Greatest Name, Thy Most Luminous Light, Thy Perfect Mercy, Thy All-Encompassing Exaltation, and whatsoever Thou hast named Thyself with and revealed in Thy Book of Thy most beautiful names which none can enumerate save Thee, and Thy most exalted similitudes which none can comprehend except Thee, to send upon him the most excellent of Thy blessings and to cause to descend upon him the most attractive of Thy manifestations and to ordain for him the best of Thy names and attributes. For verily he is under Thine eyes and Thy protection and Thy safeguarding and Thy sufficiency.

Therefore, O God, make his heart well-pleased with Thee, and his spirit with Thy beloved one, and his soul with his father and mother and his self, and his body with the places of Thy intimacy and the pillars of Thy house and the sites of Thy bounty and the settings of Thy generosity. And cause his eyes, O my God, to be gladdened with what Thou lovest and art pleased with in the hereafter and in this world, such that there be not in his knowledge that which he abhorreth concerning it, and purify the earth and all that is thereon through Thy grace and Thy mercy that Thou mayest be well-pleased with all things.

For verily his pleasure in Thee cannot be turned back, but his pleasure in all Thy creation existeth not save that there be not in his knowledge except those who acknowledge Thy oneness and believe in Thy Prophet and confess the guardianship of the successors of Thy beloved one and bear witness to the truth of the pillars of His house according to what Thou hast ordained in the knowledge of the unseen with Thee.

Therefore, O God, do with him as befitteth the majesty of his holiness, and accomplish through him, O God, what the court of Thy glory deserveth, for verily Thou art the Lord of all the worlds.
