BB00210: Testamentary disposition, addressed to Azal

O Name of the Eternal [Azal]! Bear thou witness that verily there is no God but Me, the Mighty, the Well-Beloved. I, too, bear witness that there is no God but Me, the All-Subduing, the Self-Subsisting. God hath created all that hath been created from the beginning that hath no beginning, and all that shall be created unto the end that hath no end, for the manifestation of His Self. This is God’s command unto all who have been and shall be created from His presence. He manifesteth Himself in all things as He pleaseth by His command. He, verily, is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.

When He withdraweth from that Throne, He reciteth what God inspireth in his heart of His verses. He, verily, is the All-Subduing, the Self-Subsisting. And I recite concerning Myself, night and day, and then concerning God’s faithful servants: “Verily I am God, there is no God but I, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful.” And if thou willest: “Verily I am God, there is no God but I, the Sovereign, the Inaccessible.”

I bear witness that I am living in the Most Glorious Horizon. I hear all who make mention of Me, and I am the Best of those who remember. Whoso appeareth before the throne of thy Lord, it is as though he hath appeared before God, the All-Subduing, the Self-Subsisting. No greater reward can there be than this, if ye be of them that believe.

I further bear witness that God is supremely subtle above every possessor of subtlety. He loveth that there should appear upon a throne one who speaketh of his Most Glorious Lord concerning what hath been created in the kingdom by His leave. He, verily, is the Most Generous of the generous.

God loveth that they should be preserved in vessels of crystal, then that these vessels should be preserved in the most delicate stones, in such wise that all may be able to manifest this. This is what God hath loved for those who have believed in God and His signs, if ye are able. Say: Cotton, then vessels of silk, then what ye are able of the sweetest stone, even if after days ye are able to manifest this to those who are alive, lest their hearts should be averse, and that they may rejoice therein.

Appear thou before God with what power thou possessest, and convey the Cause of thy Lord unto all the worlds, and call everyone unto what hath been revealed in the Bayan with an exalted and noble method. Make mention with goodness of all those who have believed in Me and in My words, lest they should differ concerning God’s Cause and stray from the Path.

Should God manifest in thy days one like unto thee, this is what shall make the Cause to be inherited from God, the One, the Single. But if He manifesteth not, then know thou of a certainty that God hath not desired to make Himself known. Then must thou refer the matter back to God, your Lord and the Lord of all the worlds.

Command thou those witnesses who are God-fearing in their religion and who transgress not God’s bounds. Verily, he who is with thy Lord hath taught Us the gems of knowledge and wisdom, so seek thou information from him, for We are the Informers. And multiply thou from him, from thy Lord, according to thy power. Verily, the gates of the Bayan have been ordained according to the number of all things, but We have manifested only eleven units—one unit for each form of the nine forms before the ten, eleven units, a remembrance from God, the Most High, the Most Great. This is a remembrance of bounty, else all belongeth to God and unto Him do all return.

And thou shalt command concerning Him Whom God shall make manifest, for verily He shall come with that creation in the other Resurrection with an exalted and glorious sovereignty. We are all servants of God and we all bow down before Him. He doeth what He willeth by His Lord’s leave. He shall not be asked of what He doeth, while all shall be asked of everything. And if God manifesteth glory in thy days, then manifest thou the eight paths by God’s leave according to thy power. He, verily, is the Most Generous of the generous.

And We promised the one who bore the throne of thy Lord with the principles of the one Manifestation when the Command descendeth from His presence, for verily We are faithful to fulfill what God hath promised and He doth not fail in His promise, and He is the Most Truthful of the truthful ones. And if God doth not manifest might in thy days, then be patient with what hath come to pass and alter not a single letter, for this is God’s command in a mighty Book.

Act according to what hath been revealed and change not the measure of anything, lest people differ in God’s religion, for until another Resurrection they shall be educated according to one path. And remember all that We have mentioned in thy Book, for verily We are ever-mindful.

And there shall come to thee from God’s traces seven single portions, for We are the Dividers. Take one portion for thyself, then give one portion each to those in the lands of Fa, ʿAyn, Kha, Alif, Mim and Kaf—the believing servants of God. And there shall reach thee from the one who was the First Single One in a mighty Book what God thy Lord shall seal—seal it then and multiply its like among all peoples. And whatsoever that Name shall convey from Our presence, that is from Us, so be thou among those who command.

Guard thyself, then guard thyself again, then what was revealed in the Bayan, then what shall be revealed from thy presence, for this shall endure until the Day of Resurrection and all believers shall benefit from it. And verily the Single One of the land of Fa shall deliver unto the Name of God, the Most High, that he may give to each of the first ones of My love a single remembrance from God, the Most High, the Most Great.

In the land of ʿAyn unto the Noble Name who hath aided God with what He granted him on the Day of Resurrection and hath with God a mighty station. And We have lifted from those who have fulfilled the limits of their Fifth in the Bayan and from their offspring, as a bounty from Our presence, for We are the Bestowers of bounty. And in the land of Kha it shall be delivered to the Name of the Most Truthful Friend, and in the land of Alif it shall be delivered to the Name of the Mighty, the Merciful, and in the land of Mim to whoso is there of the assured ones, and in the land of Kaf it shall be delivered to the Name of thy Lord, the Generous, the Eternal, the Most Generous. It is not lawful for anyone to possess except one portion and all shall rejoice therein.

And as for what there be of God’s verses, the Protector, the Self-Subsisting, along with the Tablets, preserve them and give them only to God’s sincere servants, for verily one portion thereof equals not the creation of the heavens and the earth and what lieth between them, were one to be among those who understand. And seek refuge in God from all oppressors until God shall manifest from His presence that wherein they shall rejoice. Say: He is the Almighty over His creation and He is the Protector, the Self-Subsisting.

And if the Name of Security be among the assured ones, deliver from the Greater Temples one portion of God that he may aid thee in God’s religion through what he possesseth of might. And verily We have appointed as distributor of the Tablets one who writeth God’s verses, that he may deliver the most splendid thereof unto the Supreme Unique One, then take for himself a Greater Temple, then give to every rightful one his due from among those who await from God.
