BB00200: Tablet to Mulla Husayn VI

In the Name of God, the Most Inaccessible, the Most Holy

God testifieth that there is none other God but Him. His is the creation and the command. He giveth life and causeth death, then causeth death and giveth life, and verily He is the Ever-Living Who dieth not. Within His grasp lieth the dominion of all things. He createth whatsoever He willeth by His command. He, verily, hath power over all things.

God testifieth that there is none other God but Him, the Mighty, the Best-Beloved. God testifieth that there is none other God but Him, the Almighty, the Self-Subsisting. God testifieth that there is none other God but Him. Say: All are His worshippers. God testifieth that there is none other God but Him. Say: All are His servants. God testifieth that there is none other God but Him. Say: All are submissive unto Him.

He it is Who hath created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is between them by His command, more swiftly than the utterance of “Be, and it is.” Say: God is the Truth, and all else besides God is His creation, and all are His worshippers. Say: God is the Lord, and all else besides God is servant, and all are submissive unto Him.

This Book is from Him Whom the servants who are assured of the Qur’an await. He is the One Whose manifestation God hath promised by His command, and He shall fill the earth with His mercy and bounty, so that none shall worship anyone on earth save God, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of the earth, the Lord of all worlds.

Say: The first to pledge allegiance unto Him was Muhammad, the Apostle of God, then ʿAli, then those who were martyrs after him, then the Gates of Guidance. This is from God’s command in a preserved Book. Say: This is the Fire of God which He shall make manifest on the Day of Resurrection. Whosoever entereth therein, these are they who shall thereafter know that He is the Qa’im unto Whom all supplicate night and day, and all are promised His day. And whoso entereth not the Gate prostrating before God, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of the earth, the Lord of all worlds—if he entereth not into the light of his Lord, and God hath made no distinction between them save the number of the letter Ha—let him fear God at all times, before all times and after all times.

Say: These verses are a proof from Him unto all who dwell in the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth and all that lieth between them, then unto all who are in the worlds. And verily from the beginning of this Cause is a day the measure whereof is, in thy Lord’s sight, fifty thousand years, and He shall surely try men therein until the word of thy Lord which was spoken aforetime in a mighty Book shall be made manifest: “Everything shall perish save His face.” This is God’s command whereby they shall be tried.

This is a remembrance of Muhammad and those who were martyrs after him—they who have pledged allegiance unto Me and are assured of God’s signs. O Muhammad! Deliver the Book which We have sent down unto thee, for We have not neglected aught therein, that every soul may witness what it hath earned on the Day of Resurrection before its Lord. And God knoweth what men do earn. Soon shall the highest of creation witness its lowest, and the lowest its highest; then shall all return, then shall all repent, then shall all remember, then shall all supplicate.

Until the Day of Judgment none hath known My Self, nor those who have pledged allegiance unto Me, though they are they before whom all present themselves in their dwellings, and they act according to what they are commanded. And verily all that men relate vanisheth in Our presence and equalleth not the verses of God, would that they might reflect thereon. Say: Their striving is naught but from traditions which they relate from the leaders of religion. Say: Their authority is naught but from a promised word, and no servant is confirmed save by what God hath sent down unto him in the Book.

Lo, God hath brought unto Me the proof, and verily it is the greatest proof for all who dwell in the kingdoms of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is between them. Through it God will remove that which people were practicing, and through it God will send down that which He ordained on the day of My manifestation from the true religion. This is of God’s grace unto mankind, that they might be thankful.

And before five years have elapsed, that Book shall not reach completion. Every soul shall bear witness to what it has wrought, for all are tested in the days of God, save whom God willeth. These are they who are assured of the signs of God. That is the Day of Resurrection until the Day of Judgment ends—all await Me and supplicate for My day, yet thou seest what they earn while they know not. But when He willeth, He shall inform them of their deeds and guide them and cause them to return unto God thy Lord in repentance.

Say: All that was revealed before in the Qur’an concerning the day of meeting Him—God shall not be comprehended by anything, neither in the heavens nor on earth nor what lieth between them, and He hath glorified Himself unto Himself. And those who turn away from Me, these are they who oppose God their Lord while they know not. Therefore show thou mercy unto them and teach them to speak naught but the truth concerning God, for it hath been revealed in the Book that there is no God but I, that perchance they may not look beyond God and His verses for a new revelation which they love to set as limits, while all are certain of it.

Say: Should all mankind gather together hoping to produce the like of this Book, they shall never be able, nor shall they have the power, even if they were learned ones on earth. Say: That is the proof through which the creation of the Prophet and those who are martyrs for His sake are created. Through it He resurrects, and He hath resurrected whomsoever God wished from the resting-place of their souls from among the Prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and the righteous. Through it He removes all that the doers were doing and sends down whatsoever God willeth of His grace, for through it this religion hath been established and all are certain of the Qur’an.

Say: Verily He Who sent down the Book unto Muhammad the Messenger of God, He hath sent down these verses unto Me and taught Me to recite them as I wish from His presence—verily He hath power over all things. And whoso receiveth sustenance from the beginning of this Cause without the verses of God and what is revealed in the Book, these are they who receive sustenance.

And on the day of My manifestation and the return of Muhammad and those who are martyrs from His presence, they read not what is in the Books. And from the beginning of this Cause until five years have elapsed, there shall be no soul who believed in God before and was of the truthful ones except that it shall enter itself into the fire of God. Then when it knoweth that it is a true Representative from God, let it return unto its heart and be of the thankful ones. Verily the Prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and the righteous, and those who were certain of God’s religion before—these shall be gathered beneath thy shade and shall be brought before their Lord, and these are the triumphant ones.

Say: My companions are companions of truth, and these shall abide forever in Paradise. God loveth not that any be mentioned save those who have believed in God and His verses, and those who place their trust in their Lord, and those who believe in the truth which is awaited by those in the kingdoms of the heavens and earth and whatsoever lieth between them, and who will aid Me in the true religion with that which none can surpass—this is of God’s grace unto whomsoever He willeth of His people, verily He is possessed of great bounty. And whoso believeth not, say: God my Lord is independent of all worlds.
