BB00419: Ziyarat Hadrat-i-Rida
He is God, the Self-Sufficient, the Single, the Most Exalted, the Most Manifest, the Most High!
I bear witness that God—thy Lord, the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of all worlds—hath assuredly ordained that thou art the Imam of manifest Justice. God, thy Lord, hath chosen thee for His remembrance; and verily thou art, on His part, a Witness unto all created things, one and all. How shall I make mention of thee by words, seeing that God hath bestowed upon thee, out of His bounty, that wherewith thou art independent of the worlds? Naught in the heavens nor on the earth escapeth Thy knowledge; and the ordinance of all things is with thee in a perspicuous Book. Thou art He Whose knowledge none can compass; and Thou art exalted above all that hearts can conceive—exalted above a mighty Throne. In Thy hand is the dominion of the heavens and of the earth, and whatsoever is newly brought into being by the decree of thy Lord; then is His command a wondrous command.
And Thou, verily, wilt judge on the Day of Severance, with justice, between all men concerning that wherein they differ. All shall, on that Day, be presented before the Sovereign. Whoso cometh unto thee with a goodly deed drawn from the Book of God shall, that Day, enter Paradise through thy grace, beneath a sheltering shade; and whoso cometh unto thee that Day with an evil deed—no recompense shall be meted out unto him save according to that which his own soul hath earned. Thou art not unjust unto any servant that turneth unto God; in Thy decree is there not the weight of a grain of mustard of wrong. Unto Thee shall they all be raised up in the Day of Bounty; unto Thee shall they be gathered. With Thee are the keys of Paradise and of the Fire: Thou dost cause whomsoever Thou willest to enter the one—such as were of those who were assured of Thy signs—and Thou dost cause whomsoever Thou willest to enter the other—such as were of those who denied the signs of God. Therefore praise be unto Thee in the heavens and on the earth, and on the Day whereon all shall be brought low.
Thou seest my dwelling-place upon the mountain; forgive me, then, and bestow Thy favor upon me, for Thou art the best of forgivers. I have gone forth from my house in hope of attaining Thy presence; yet have the people come betwixt me and Thy glory—and Thou art the best of those who decide. Permit me, through Thy grace, and cast out those who, without right, have hindered me from Thee, by a decree of justice that is nigh. Appoint for me a true deliverance, and thereafter a dominion of manifest justice. Verily, I have sent unto Thee the first of those who believed in the signs of God, that he may recite these verses before Thy presence, and that he may be numbered among them that beseech Thy bounty for the oppressed.
This is the Book which testifieth against men concerning that which they were wont to do. Leave Thou none to wax proud against it, nor to withhold from it that right which God hath committed unto mankind in a perspicuous Book. This is that wherewith God hath enjoined His servants, in the unseen, for him that possesseth a right and manifest justice. And whoso turneth away from the ordinance of thy Lord, upon him shall rest his sin; and God, thy Lord, is assuredly independent of the worlds.
