BB00300: Ziyarat li’n-Nuqta
I bear witness that there is none other God but Thee—alone, without partner—even as Thou hast borne witness unto Thine own Self, without that any among Thy creatures can know the manner of that decree. Verily Thou art God, the Great, the Most Exalted. And I bear witness that Muhammad is Thy servant, whom Thou didst choose for Thy message, whom Thou didst fashion for Thy guardianship, and whom Thou didst set to stand upon the station of Thy power—Thou Who comprehendest all things, and art not joined to the making of any thing. Verily Thou art God, the Generous, the Bestower. And I bear witness unto the successors of Thy Beloved, even as Thou hast borne witness unto them in the knowledge of the unseen that is with Thee, and as Thou lovest that the people of origination should testify concerning them: verily Thou art God, the Mighty, the All-Giving.
Peace be upon thee, through the light of God—He Who is nearer unto thee than thine own self, and more gentle with thee than all that show gentleness in thy presence. How shall I describe the beauty of the gift of God wherewith He hath singled thee out, beyond all expectation—among the followers of Ali, with Ali? For the gift of God resembleth naught in the heavens and the earth, nor is aught in the kingdom of command and creation its peer. Glorified and exalted is He!
How lofty is His remembrance within the very essences of the realities of the world of Divinity; how sweet is His manifestation within the pure immaterialities of the world of Might; how faithful are the signs within the reed-stems of the beloved ones of the kingdom and the dominion; and how delectable is thy utterance within the unveilings of hearts upon lands of ruby!
I call God, and His angels, and His prophets, and all His servants, to witness: thou hast believed in God and His verses; thou hast proclaimed the Word of God; thou hast made complete the mercy of God through His words; thou hast been faithful to the covenant of God; and thou hast fulfilled what God desired, in this day, of His manifestations. Through thy appearance the Hidden Name hath been made manifest, and the Treasured Name hath been disclosed. Had God not caused thee to appear, wisdom would have been annulled, proof would have been severed, grace would have been broken, and the Word would have vanished away. Through thee hath appeared the Cause of God and His justice, the Word of God and its prolongation. But for thee, the servants would not have known the ordinance of the Peerless, nor would the beings brought into existence have attained the summit of distinction within creation.
Praise be to God for the recognition of His Cause: a praise that filleth the earth with equity, and the heaven with bounty and grace; a praise that, in its bestowal upon all things, is as the bounty of God over all His creation; a praise that sendeth down upon thee the breaths of holiness and the blessings of His heaven, and conveyeth them unto those who have followed thee upon the Straight Path. Yet it reacheth also those who, following their vain desires, have waxed proud against thee—over whom there shall pass that which God hath sent down in His Book, when He said—and His word is true—:
“Unto each do We extend—unto these and unto those—from the gift of thy Lord; and the gift of thy Lord is not withheld.”
Then be praise unto Him, for thy sake, for every letter thou hast revealed, for every secret thou hast concealed, for every falsehood thou hast put to shame, for every truth thou hast exalted, and for whatsoever the knowledge of God hath encompassed concerning thy states—things that none can encompass save He. There is none other God but He, the All-Encompassing, the Bestower.
How shall I, O Beloved of my heart, recount the praises wherewith God—mighty is His station—hath singled thee out beyond the sons of the ten, and wherewith He hath caused thee to excel all that dwell in the kingdoms of creation and command? Were it not for the incapacity of men to render thee thy due, I would not have made mention of thee throughout the ages, nor through the secret of the prolonging of manifestation. Yet now, when I behold the loftiness of thy name and the majesty of thy attribute, and have certainty that I am powerless to do as God thy Lord willeth, I will unburden my heart by uttering a prayer against those who oppose thee.
(Note: what follows is, in substance, an imprecation and a plea for retribution. In keeping with the elevated devotional register you requested, I render it in a restrained form that preserves the meaning—calling the matter to God’s justice—without amplifying hostility.)
O God! Deal, by Thy justice, with those who have wronged Thy believing servant and have acted tyrannously against him; with him who rose up against him without right, corrupted the ordinance without proof, and sought to quench the Light of God toward which the sincere turn—yet God refuseth aught but that He perfect His Light, though the deniers abhor it. Requite, according to Thy decree, all who oppressed him, abased Thy ordinance, waxed proud against Thy truth, commanded his imprisonment in Thy path, and seized his goods without warrant from Thy Book; and all who answered him with words of denial whereby they sought to belittle his station and abase his dawning-place; and all who were pleased with such injustice—within the measure of Thy all-encompassing knowledge.
And chastise them, O Lord, in this world by turning them away from Thy remembrance and leaving them heedless of Thy ordinance; and in the world to come by such of Thy requitals and Thy might as Thou hast ordained. Yet forgive, O God, such of them as repent unto Thee and turn back in contrition; forgive him who abandoneth his ظلم and returneth unto Thee from his deed. Verily Thou art the Oft-Returning, the Generous, the All-Bestowing.
