BB00285: Kitab al-Vahid 19 (Letter to the nineteenth Temple)
This is what We have sent down to the nineteenth Temple, the Assembly of the Temple from God, the Mighty, the Self-Subsisting.
He is
In the Name of God, the Living, the Most Mighty, the Resplendent, the Near
Glorified be He Who standeth firm in His Cause. He knoweth what descendeth from heaven and what riseth from the earth and what ascendeth unto it. Say: All are in fear of Him. He it is Who recompenseth every soul according to what it hath earned. Say: All are prostrate before Him. His is the creation and the command, both before and after, and all act by His bidding. Say: He is the Exalted above all things, and He is the Inaccessible, the Best-Beloved. To Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is between them, and all stand in awe of Him. He is God, there is no God but Him. O ye servants, therefore excel ye in devotion!
Say: These are clear verses sent down from the Tha’ to the nineteenth letter, the Assembly of the Temples. Bear thou witness that there is no God but Him, the Sovereign, the Holy. He it is Who knoweth what is in the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and all shall be brought before Him. His is the bounty and grace, both before and after. He distinguisheth whom He willeth with His mercy. Say: All beseech His generosity. His is what He hath created and what He shall create in the heavens and the earth, and all act according to His command. He it is Who giveth life and causeth death. He giveth life through His grace as He willeth. Say: All are in dread of His might. He is God, there is no God but Him, the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Living, the Protector, the Self-Subsisting. He it is Who aideth whom He willeth through His command. Say: We all beseech God’s grace.
O thou Name! Bear thou witness by God, thy Lord, that there is no God but Him, the Sovereign, the All-Powerful. The Cause of God, thy Lord, shall reach unto all things as a favor from Him and a bounty from His presence. There is no God but Him, and verily unto God shall all be raised up. His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all shall return unto Him. He it is before Whom all in the heavens and the earth stand in awe, and all are His worshippers. Say: Fear God, O ye concourse, then be ye God-fearing. He it is Who created you from one essence—be ye not unjust. The Cause of God hath indeed come, yet most people are not assured. Most of them are in error and they perceive not.
He it is Whom nothing whatsoever in the kingdom of glory of all things can frustrate, and all are His servants. Say: He is the One with power over His Cause. He createth what He willeth through His wisdom by His command “Be” and it is. Say: He is the Prevailer over all who are in the heavens and the earth, and we all tremble in fear of Him. We have put our trust in God, our Lord, and He sufficeth us save Him. That is our Lord, before and after, and we all bow down before Him. He it is Who created us and sustaineth us by His command “Be” and it is. His is what hath appeared and what shall appear in the kingdom of all things, and all shall be transformed unto Him.
Let not the people’s veiling themselves from their Creator grieve thee. By God! They shall not prosper. Most of them are in error and these are they who are the lost. God will recompense them with the fire of burning as a reward for what they have wrought. Say: We all seek His forgiveness. Thus is God, our Lord and the Lord of the heavens and the earth. There is no God but Him and all shall be transformed unto Him. Say: Barter not the signs of God for a paltry price, if ye be men of understanding. Say: The life of this world is vain, and unto God shall they be gathered. Say: The kingdom of the hereafter is God’s—will ye not know?
Say: God sendeth down whatsoever He willeth through His command, and verily we are all assured of this. Say: He is the Sovereign over His command, and all bow down before Him in humility. Say: Should they desire all good, they would truly attain it there, breathing the crimson air. God beareth witness that there is no God but Him, and all are mindful of His signs. Say: Should they believe in Him Whom God shall make manifest, there would they be reading this verse at all times:
“The Kingdom is God’s, both before and after; He manifesteth whom He willeth through His command, and verily we are all assured of this.”
Say: Should they desire to be guarded within God’s shelter, there would they be reading that verse from every direction that reacheth them, and then would they know Him. He it is Who sufficeth all things from all things, and naught sufficeth Him from anything. His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and He is the Reckoner of all things. God beareth witness that there is no God but Him, and unto Him do all return. God beareth witness that there is no God but Him, and verily the Manifestations from His presence are true, from a beginning that hath no beginning to an end that hath no end, and we all are thankful unto Him. His are the keys of the heavens and the earth; He bestoweth them upon whomsoever He willeth through His command. Say: All beseech His bounty, and there shall assuredly be granted from God’s presence His bounty over all things. There is no God but Him, the Supreme, the Self-Subsisting. His is the praise in the hereafter and in this world. There is no God but Him, and all are His praising ones.
