BB00275: Ziyarat for the last [to believe]

In the Name of God, the Most Unapproachable, the Most Holy

Visitation for the last [to ascend], upon him be the Glory of God, the Sovereign, the Subduer

Praise be to God, besides Whom there is no other god, the Most Constraining, the Most Constraining! And verily all glory be from God upon His Most Luminous, Most Luminous Light! And then, when thou hast attained unto that which God hath ordained for thee through the recognition of that Most Great, Most Great, Most Great Name, and that Most Mighty, Most Mighty, Most Mighty Remembrance, and that Most Exalted, Most Exalted, Most Exalted Glory, and that Most Splendid, Most Splendid, Most Splendid Praise, then purify thy inner and outer being from all that thou hast witnessed in the Bayan regarding the commandments of thy Lord. Then when thou standest at the First Gate, glorify God nineteen times, then at the Second Gate eighteen times, then at the Third Gate seventeen times, then at the Fourth Gate sixteen times, then at the Fifth Gate fifteen times. There say:

Glory be unto Thee, O my God! I and all things testify that Thou art God, that there is no God but Thee, alone with no partner, and I bear witness that the Point of the Bayan is the Manifestation of Thy Self, Who hath revealed what Thou didst desire of Thy religion through what Thou didst send down of Thy verses. Verily, I testify, and all things with me, that my very being hath borne witness to that which it hath witnessed, and my reality likewise, and my self likewise, and my identity likewise. I turn unto Thee through the First Vahid, then through all Thy Most Beautiful Names and Thy Most Exalted Examples in their essence, beseeching from Thy grace, knocking at the door of Thy bounty, that Thou mayest cause me to enter the sanctuary of Thy Name ʿthe Other’ from the First Vahid, which Thou hast established through the Word of the Point of the Bayan, through that in which he believed and unto which he turned in what was ordained in existence.

Then let me seek permission from all Thy names and the exponents of Thy sovereignty. Sufficient is it that Thou hast permitted me to attain Thy presence before Thy Name and hast impelled me through what Thou hast commanded me to cast myself before the sign of Thy countenance. Praise be unto Thee for knowledge of Him, and glory be unto Thee for having caused me to know His exaltation, the sublimity of His glory, the elevation of His radiance, the inviolability of His good-pleasure, the joy of His delight and His names. Glory be unto Thee! There is no God but Thee! Glory be unto Thee! Verily, I am of those who seek permission.

Then prostrate thyself and kiss whatever thou canst reach. And if the essences of the cherubim have multiplied at that Gate and the drops of the water of love have surged at that Path, then sufficient for thee is one mention. When thou hast entered, stand at the threshold and say “God is Most Manifest” nineteen times. Then say:

Verily, of the Glory of God, He is the Most Glorious; and of the Majesty of God, He is the Most Majestic; and of the Beauty of God, He is the Most Beautiful; and of the Grandeur of God, He is the Most Grand; and of the Light of God, He is the Most Luminous; and of the Mercy of God, He is the Most All-Encompassing; and of the Names of God, He is the Most Great; and of the Might of God, He is the Most Mighty; and of the Will of God, He is the Most Decisive; and of the Knowledge of God, He is the Most Penetrating; and of the Power of God, He is the Most Powerful; and of the Word of God, He is the Most Pleasing; and of the Causes of God, He is the Most Beloved and Most Invincible; and of the Honor of God, He is the Most Honorable; and of the Sovereignty of God, He is the Most Spiritual; and of the Dominion of God, He is the Most Glorious; and of the Exaltation of God, He is the Most Exalted; and of the Favors of God, He is the Most Ancient; and of the Signs of God, He is the Most Wondrous; and of the Grace of God, He is the Most Gracious; and of the Generosity of God, He is the Most Generous; and of the Bestowals of God, He is the Most Felicitous; and of the Manifestations of God, He is the Most Manifest; and of the Revelations of God, He is the Most Evident; and of the Proofs of God, He is the Most Steadfast; and of the Clear Signs of God, He is the Most Elevated.

Upon thee and upon the Letters that have preceded thee and upon those who have followed thee—all guides unto God thy Lord, witnesses in God thy Creator, prostrate before God through thy Countenance, servants of God through thy Beauty, and preservers of the Cause of God through thy guidance. I bear witness before God and all things that thou hast glorified God thy Lord as befitteth what God hath created within thee, and thou hast praised God thy Creator as befitteth what God hath revealed unto thee through thee, and thou hast unified God thy Revealer as befitteth what He hath ordained within thee, and thou hast magnified God Who praiseth thee as befitteth what He hath encompassed through His knowledge within thee, and thou hast exalted the Cause of God as much as thou wast able. Thus hast thou ascended, and there is none like thee ascending in creation, and thou hast drawn nigh, and there is none like thee in drawing nigh.

By My glory! Thy nearness shall not turn Me away from Thy loftiness, nor shall Thy loftiness veil Me from Thy nearness. Thy seat is in the highest chambers of paradise. Verily Thou beholdest those who dwell in the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth and that which lieth between them, and bearest witness unto those whom God hath created in the kingdom of His command and of His creation and all that is beneath them. Thou hast ever gazed upon Me and sacrificed thyself for Me, and sought forgiveness from God, thy Lord, for those who are detached from all else save Him. This is a fruit in the Book of God for him who perceiveth it. No justice can compare with this, and this is a gift from God whereto nothing can be likened. Verily Thou, and numbers, and the First One, and all that God, exalted be His glory, hath reckoned, God hath made but as a seal upon the hand of Him Whom God shall make manifest, exalted be His mention. He turneth it as He pleaseth, by whatsoever He pleaseth, for whatsoever He pleaseth. He is, in truth, the Help in Peril, the Most High, the Most Glorious.

It sufficeth Thee in the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them when He willeth to descend upon Thy court and to exalt Thy station through His holy sovereignty, or to mention Thee with praise from His presence, for God hath made no other bounty like unto this, nor any exaltation comparable to this. This is what God, Thy Lord, hath promised Thee in Thy beginning and in Thine end, and hath sent down upon Thee in Thy beginning what Thou seest in Thine end. He is, in truth, the One, the Manifest. Therefore make mention from there, in Thy presence, of the names of God and His loved ones, servants who have inherited that which was created in paradise, who have found solace in what was originated in the Bayan, and who have delighted in that which their hearts, their spirits, their souls and their bodies desired in the highest chambers of paradise, through what they hope for from God’s grace and bounty. He is, verily, the Help in Peril, the All-Bountiful.
