BB00586: Khatt li’sh-Shaykh Rafi’-i-Rashti

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Bless Him who sends down the spirit of the command on whom He will. Verily, rejoice and do not fear. God, your Lord, is forgiving and appreciative. Verily, there is no god but Him! He sent down the book from His command that the people may know the decree of their Lord, the Merciful, in every written letter. “Verily, We sent down the decree on whom we will among our servants according to a predestined measure.”

O man who is noble under all conditions! Verily, today all have [rejected] the mention of the name of your Lord. Those who followed our verses and strove on the first day for us—they have verily attained. As to those who follow the Cause of God but do not depart from their dwellings for the sake of the covenant of the Remembrance of God, their works will in no wise benefit them. These are they who are far gone in error.

Sufficient proof unto them is the book, for whomsoever desireth to believe in his wondrous verses. He, verily, is of those who humble themselves. Say: Praise be God, Lord of the worlds!
