BB00571: Letter to the household, from Masqat
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read the Book of thy Lord, besides Whom there is no other God. Verily it hath been sent down by His leave from thy son Ali, one who is praised. And verily in the judgment of the Book it hath been sent down from thy son upon this path of God in the heavens and on earth—a straight path indeed.
Be thou thankful unto God and prostrate thyself, for the promise of God is true and He verily knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on earth. There is no God but Him, the Mighty, the Wise. The Spirit descendeth at all times upon My heart that We may recite the Book of thy Lord as He willeth in a clear Arabic tongue.
Remember God thy Lord at the rising of the sun and at its setting, and at its zenith, then convey the greetings of thy son to my grandmother and to whomsoever thou lovest among the kindred. Verily the term appointed by God hath come in truth, and God is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
