BB00562: Khasa’il-i Sab’ih (Treatise of the Seven Directives)

In the Name of God, the Most High, the Most Great, exalted be His noble mention

The first of the seven observances [khasa’il-i-sab’ih] is carrying the impregnable blessed circle.

The second of them is abstaining from the water-pipe, for it is the work of the Khan and the breath of Satan.

The third of them is drinking Chinese tea, beloved by the people of certitude.

The fourth is mentioning the concealed pillar in the call to prayer after bearing witness to the vicegerency of the merciful successors.

The fifth of them is prostration upon the soil of Husayn—upon him be thousands of praises and greetings—with the nose and forehead.

The sixth is reciting the comprehensive visitation prayer which he, may God’s blessings be upon him, composed in his blessed words, every Friday and holiday and every blessed day and auspicious night.

And the seventh of them is wearing a ring of white carnelian inscribed with “There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God (peace be upon him), Ali is the Friend of God (peace be upon him).”

It is completed, and peace be upon whoever acts according to these matters and walks in the light during the dark gloomy night.
