BB00511: Letter concerning the Nubuwwat al-Khassa

He is the Mighty

O Fuad Khalili, one like you is too exalted for me to address in writing, even with the most sublime essence of truth and the most radiant expressions of subtlety, for all that shines with splendor and appears on the horizons from the allusions of the people of the Covenant and the conditions of the people of constancy is but a veil in the station of love. Indeed, between you and me in all worlds there exists a relationship hidden from the eyes of this world.

However, when I heard that the binding command had been issued from His Excellency—may God perpetuate his glory—to your honor to interpret what I had composed in Arabic regarding the specific Muhammadan Prophethood—may God’s blessings be upon it—I began this address so that you might spread these pages before His Excellency—may God perpetuate his favor—and explain to him in the best possible manner at the station of exposition, in accordance with His exalted Word:

“In all things there is a sign pointing to the fact that He is One.”

This is evident to your honor, and I shall not mention to you now more than this exposition, according to His exalted Word:

“Not all that is known should be spoken, nor all that is spoken is timely, nor is everything timely attended by those who are worthy.”

However, what is intended is that which I have set forth in the other pages at the end of the book with decisive speech for whoever wishes to present a matter in the presence of His Excellency, and I mention to him that which is remembered in the beginning and the return.

And peace be upon you so long as the celestial spheres rotate in the kingdom of names and attributes.
