BB00439: Letter to Mulla Hasan-i-Gawhar

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

O Ta Ha! We have not sent down the Book aforetime save as a reminder unto him who desires to believe in the signs of thy Lord and be numbered among those who prostrate themselves. Read thou the Book of thy Lord—none can alter My decree. Seek forgiveness for thy sin that thou mayest be among the successful ones. Verily those who follow the signs of God—these are they who prosper. And those who follow their vain desires regarding God’s decree—these are they who are the wrongdoers. We have indeed tried all mankind, and none believe in God’s signs save those who were foremost—a small band. These indeed are foremost in God’s Book. And those who spoke partially about Our signs—these are recorded as idolaters in God’s Book…

O man! Thou hast committed in God’s days deeds which no man of knowledge would commit. What right hast thou to harm Our weak followers? Fear God and return to His decree, for verily I am the Generous, the Forbearing. We have sent down a Book to the Governor of Baghdad concerning this petition of thine. Read God’s Book before him and command him to send it to the King of Rum, for it is truly a Book from the Remnant of God, the manifest and just Imam. If thou fearest God’s decree, deliver My sealed Book to him that thou mayest be numbered among the helpers of that which is written…

We have ordained in that Book for whomever believes in the signs of thy Lord to emigrate from his home to the Land of the Remembrance, the path of God, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy… We have revealed the decree concerning what Al-Muhit asked in the Tablet of the Two Sacred Places. Say: Read what hath been revealed from thy Lord that thou mayest be among the successful ones… Deliver copies of these two tablets to the learned ones in that land that they may take heed and be among the guided ones.

O Muhit! Deliver thy Lord’s decree with justice, for victory is ordained this day for the believers in that which is written… Send similar verses to that servant whom We sent with truth unto the people, who is now visibly imprisoned in Baghdad. Convey the Remembrance’s greetings to him, for God knoweth thy abode and resting place. There is no God but Him. He will recompense every soul with justice on the Day of Resurrection, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. Be patient, O Messenger, and fear no one in thy Lord’s path, for the decree shall be fulfilled and all shall be gathered unto Us in a wondrous assembly.

O thou Jewel in the House! Honor the people of the House from the front gate 26, for God’s right is just and all submit to Him. Send My greetings to them and say that God loves believing, patient women who fear God, for God is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. We have promised mankind the Day of Justice and We have made clear the Cause that those in whose hearts is doubt concerning God’s Command may come forth. The decree hath been recorded for every soul since the Day of Religion… Proclaim God’s decree openly and emigrate from thy house to the Land of Security, by the covenant of the Remnant of God, the noble and true Imam.
