In the Name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
O God! Thou art God, Creator of the heavens and earth. Thou createst whatsoever Thou willest by Thy command and exaltest whomsoever Thou willest by Thy wisdom. There is no God but Thee, my God and the God of all things. Glorified art Thou! Exalted and sanctified is Thy Countenance and Being from having the highest essences of material things ascend unto it, and elevated is the Face of Thy Identity from having the loftiest manifestations of essential realities rise up to it. For Thou hast ever been and wilt ever be. Verily Thou art even as Thou wert in the beginning that hath no beginning. Nothing throughout eternal manifestation shall ever know Thee, and no spirit throughout endless ages shall ever worship Thee.
For the Countenance of Thy Self transcendeth all possible things, and Thy Being surpasseth all existent things. Forever hath there been no description for Thee save the face of Thine Identity in the mystery of Thy Presence, and forever shall there be no attribute for Thee save the face of Thy Being in the presence of Thy Manifestation. If I say “Thou art He,” in that moment the Countenance of the Divine Realm is revealed in the depths of the signs of dominion and kingdom, that Thou art God, Lord of might and power. And if I say “He is Thou,” in that moment the face of Thy revelation speaketh forth in the presence of unity that there is no God but Him, Lord of the Command in the inmost mysteries of the Divine Realm and Creator of creation in the depths of the signs of geometry and the verses of command in the Countenance of Power.
Glorified art Thou, glorified art Thou, O my God! Thou art He Who hath made Thyself known to all things through themselves and Thy command through Thy creation. Thou hast revealed Thyself to all things through the countenance of Thy origination and presence of Thine invention, that those who are perplexed might be confounded by the revelations of the signs of the depths of the ocean of Thy oneness, and those who are radiant might shine forth through the breaths of the signs of the surging sea of Thy mercy. None doubteth the Divine Countenance revealed within himself, nor the Presence of the Eternal that severeth all from description of It.
O my God! Grant me complete detachment unto the court of Thy nearness, and the mystery of attraction through union unto the station of the revelation of Thy presence, and the light of joy unto the station of the light of Thy countenance, and the ultimate invention unto the manifestation of the sanctity of Thy power, that I might be a knower of Thee, standing before the Most Glorious Light, praising Thee, turning away from all else save Thee, occupied with Thy glorification and speaking in thankfulness for Thy favors, such that I might not dwell in any condition save through nearness to Thy presence, intimacy with Thy countenance, the beauty of Thine essence, the majesty of Thine identity, the splendor of Thine eternity, the praise of Thy power, the station of Thy Self and the sovereignty of Thy Being.
May I not witness in the countenance of essential realities aught save the revelation of Thy presence of origination, nor in the depths of material things aught save the manifestation of the countenance of Thine invention. May I not see all multiplicities in every condition save as in that Day wherein nothing mentioned existed. Thou, O my God, hast made known to all Thy oneness and established all in the path of Thy Lordship, and chosen for them the signs of Thy might and stations of Thy sovereignty, that the existence of multiplicities might not distract them from Thy countenance, nor the mention of non-existent things from Thy presence.
Glorified art Thou, glorified art Thou, O my God! How sweet in my heart is Thy remembrance, and I have no portion save through the manifestation of Thy attraction unto the court of Thy grandeur.
