In the Name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

Praise be to God Who sent down the Command in the Book to those who follow God’s Command in truth, for these are they who are the truthful ones. And now, your letter has arrived from the land of Sad and I have reviewed your message.

Know that regarding what you asked about the meaning of the Day of Resurrection—it has endless ranks in God’s knowledge. Among them is the Day of Origination, the Day of Creation, the Day of Production, the Day of Bringing into Being, the Day of Formation, the Day of the Term, and the Day of the Book. In brief, every matter has its day.

When “Day” is applied in the realm of the First and Pre-existent Manifestation, it is the very sign of Manifestation which has no beginning and no end in the station of concealment, due to the all-encompassing nature of God’s grace in the beginning and end. When applied in the eternal realm, it has a beginning in the station of existence but God has not given it an end in His knowledge, for His grace never ceases for an instant. When applied in the realm of perpetuity, it has a beginning in relation to eternity and an end in relation to itself. When applied in the realm of time, it is determined by the motion of the celestial spheres.

For all these meanings, mention of the Day of Resurrection is true, for it is the Day of Standing before the Lord of mankind. The Lesser Resurrection is the day of the rise of God’s Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) with prophethood in the Return. The Greater Resurrection is the Day in which God gathers all that His knowledge encompasses to judge between all in truth concerning their differences, and He does not wrong His servants. Today the mystery of the Day of Resurrection has appeared to judge between all in truth. In this dark, deaf, blind and gloomy trial, all people will be distinguished. Today God’s judgment is like His judgment in the past. Then afterwards, glorified and exalted is He above what they describe.

Regarding what you asked about the ruling on the woman who purified herself, and about whom the Word was revealed to which affairs submitted—all that you interpreted through transmission and observed of the mystery of reality through comprehension is the truth. However, people should not follow her since they are unable to understand the reality of her station. Return in matters of judgment to the one who has the Balance, for all truth today returns to that justice, and to God returns judgment in the beginning and return.

Regarding what you asked about your own station, follow the ruling of the Book and the sound tradition from the people of return, for God protects the servant from error when he observes the mystery of discourse in the line of response.

Regarding what you asked about the steadfastness of believers’ hearts and the joy of believers’ hearts—beware, beware of exaggeration and mentioning God’s names in the Book. For I am but an owned and sustained servant who possesses no benefit or harm for myself. I know nothing in the heavens or earth except what God wills. I have commanded none except by the ruling of the Qur’an and the ordinances of the people of the Bayan. I do not claim to have knowledge of the unseen of the heavens and earth, or knowledge of what has been or will be, nor do I say a word without what has been revealed in the Book and the text from the Imams of excellence.

Turn people away from exaggeration regarding me, for God knows two groups will perish: the excessive lovers and the hateful detractors. Their sin is not upon me, for I said before and say now before God, His Messengers and His friends that I am a servant who has believed in God and His signs. God has honored me by His grace as He willed with knowledge from the people of infallibility (God’s blessings upon them)—as long as the Sun of Identity has risen with identity and the Sun of Oneness has not set with oneness.

I have spoken to people of my Lord’s blessing. Whoever is grateful, is grateful for his own soul, and whoever denies—then surely God your Lord is independent of mankind. Glory be to God, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe. Peace be upon the followers of God’s Command, for they are the successful ones. And praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
